Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel housings (07-01-2004)

The EOS 300D has been positioned by Canon as the digital SLR for everyone. With its 6.3 megapixel and a price tag of less than 1000 USD (more details at Steve's Digicams), the camera certainly looks destined to become a bestseller.

This has also been noted by housing manufacturers and various models are to hit the waters early 2004:

Ikelite #6870

The clear polycarbonate molded 6870 introduces a compact housing system at a price of 1200 USD. The housing is sized and weighted for near neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater.

Sea&Sea DX-300

Little details are known at the moment. But given Sea&Sea's other models for Canon cameras, it is expected to be an aluminium housing with a maximum depth of 60m.

Auqatica A300

The Aquatica A300 is an aluminum housing with a maximum depth of 90 meters. Aquatica also provides dome ports, macro ports and extension rings for this housing.
