Ikelite housing for the Nikon D70 (07-04-2004)
The D70 is Nikon's first sub-$1000 digital SLR (body only), and is clearly targeted as competition to the Canon EOS 300D (see 300D housings and Sealux 300D housing). The D70 is a six megapixel (3008 x 2000 pixels), with a 1.8" 130,000 pixel LCD monitor. It uses Compact Flash Type I or II for storage, Microdrive is supported. For more details, read the D70 review.
The Ikelite #6807 is compact new housing for the Nikon D70. It features full capabilities and operates safely to 60 meters
(200 feet) depth.
The housing is sized and weighted for near neutral buoyancy. The Auto Exposure / Focus Lock is placed where it can be held while taking a photo. The Ikelite Super-Eye magnifier provided with the housing offers enhanced viewing while wearing a diving mask. The housing costs $1200, excluding port. More info at the Ikelite website or look at the
housing page for more housings.
