Sea&Sea DX-D80 underwater housing for Nikon D80 (20-09-2006)

Sea&Sea have released the new DX-D80 underwater housing for the Nikon D80 digital SLR.

The DX-D80 housing is made of corrosion restistant aluminum alloy and polycarbonate, has a compact and ergonomic design and allows operation of almost all D80 funcions.

The housing features two N-type strobe connectors, a 2-pin for attaching Sea&Sea YS-type strobes and a 5-pin for use with the TTL converter (see also Sea&Sea DX-D200 news item). The shutter lever is designed to give good tactile feedback for semi-pushing the release.

The housing can be equipped with different viewfinders to suit various photographic purposes.

The Sea&Sea NX-type port system is supported, to support many lenses. The DX-D80 is fitted with a leak sensor to inform about the presence of water inside the housing.
