Ikelite housing for Canon PowerShot SX100 IS (16-11-2007)

Ikelite has released a new housing for the Canon PowerShot SX100 IS.

Canon's PowerShot SX100 IS is the first release in the new SX series of great value super zoom digital compact cameras. Combining high optical zoom and user friendly operation in a remarkably compact form, the SX series offers exceptional performance in the hands of any member of the family, and includes full manual control for those with more experience.

The PowerShot SX100 IS features a 10x optical zoom lens with optical Image Stabilizer, 8.0 Megapixel image sensor, and DIGIC III processor for superb image quality. Enhanced Face Detection Technology, Red-Eye Correction and Auto ISO Shift features mean that users of any level can achieve impressive results.

The Ikelite #6148.10 is a compact housing of corrosion free clear polycarbonate. All functions of the camera except for the "Print" button are accessible through the housing.

A flash diffuser is included to aid in improving lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used to illuminate subjects underwater.

The included tray with release handle provides stability and exceptional handling underwater. The release handle allows easy attachment and removal of Ikelite strobe mounting arms at the touch of a button. Also available is the #9523.32 Tray with Dual Release Handles for increased balance or the addition of a second Substrobe.

Accessory lens port adapters (not included) are available for the attachment of Ikelite, Inon, or Epoque external wide-angle lenses.

The Ikelite #6147.75 housing can be operated safely to 60m (200 feet), and is priced around $450 USD or 400 euros.
