Olympus PT-042 and PT-043 underwater housings (26-01-2008)When the action moves from the beach to the water, your Olympus digital camera needn't be left behind. They have added two new underwater housings to their collection: the PT-042 and PT-043.
The PT-042 underwater housing has been specially customised for the Stylus/Mju 1010 and 1020 cameras. The PT-043 is designed for the Stylus/Mju 1030 SW, a camera that itself is already waterproof tot depth of 10 meters. Both housings are waterproof up to a water pressure equivalent to a depth of 40 meters. These underwater housings are perfect for fascinating underwater photography or capturing the thrill of water sports and activities. With their durable, high quality polycarbonate construction, they protect the camera from water while also cushioning it from knocks and bumps on land. Complete control of photo functions, such as zoom and flash mode, is also permitted.
Features include a detachable LCD hood for LCD monitor, neutral buoyancy under water and a screw mount for converter lenses and filters. The camera's internal flash can be used underwater for direct illuminatior or to trigger a digital compatible slave strobe. Both housings are equiped with a standard tripod socket permits attachment of lighting tray.
