Zillion ZAP-KissX2 housing for EOS 450D / Rebel XSi (18-06-2008)

Zillion Japan have released an underwater housing for the Canon EOS 450D/Digital Rebel XSi.

The ZAP-KissX2 (the 450D/XSi is know as Kiss X2 in Japan), is a stainless steel / ABS resin housing capable of withstanding pressures at 60 meters under water.

The housing uses the standard mount for the optionally available Zillion ports, thereby allowing a wide range of popular lenses to be used. A dial for manually controlling the focus on macro lenses is also present.

The ZAP-KissX2 further features two optical connectors for external slave strobes, built-in viewfinder, mode dial window, latching buckles with lock, base socket for attaching trays of various manufacturers, personalized colors, and a complete set of controls for the camera's functions.

Retail price in Japan is 231,000 Yen, approximately 1380 euro or 2150 US dollar. The housing can be ordered through the Zillion website (Japanese), availability in other parts of the world may be difficult.
