UK-GERMANY UK-E3 housing for Olympus E-3 (24-10-2008)
UK-GERMANY have released a new underwater housing for the Olympus E-3: the UK-E3. This housing features a new innovation: the "master control grip", that controls the camera in a mechanical/electronic combination. All important functions, like the shutter release, main and secondary dial and the Function button, can be controlled single handedly via the grip. A microprocessor in the grip takes care of quick and reliable transfer of each button press.
A mechanical shutter release button is present on the housings in case the grip does not function properly. All other functions are also controlled by traditional style buttons on the housing's back and top. The grip can be rotated in 30° steps, thus allows for a relaxed handling in all situations. It can also be removed for easy packing and traveling. It has a generic design and can thus also be used for all other digital SLRs that can be controlled through a battery grip.
The UK-E3 is manufactured according to UK-GERMANY's high-quality standards. All dome and flat port are made with optical glass, and with additional rings all lenses that are suitable for underwater photography can be used. A special adapter is available to allow customers that already own Olympus ports to use it on the UK-GERMANY housing. More UK-GERMANY cases can be found on the UK-GERMANY underwater housings page.
